This actually was from my youth . This caruosel was from the Danbury fair which was a big event for all the kids in Dabury every year. Children in school got a free day at the fair.. well entry into the fair..The fair was closed back in 1981.. Now the Danbury fair mall stands in its place. This the only thing that was saved from the fair. Everything else was auctioned off and is all over the world. The carousel is in the mall for children to ride. It s from my pass.. I went to Connecticut today and took a special trip to the mall to photography this. What a great present to see this beauty again!

good.. I am glad your youth was rekindled … at least for a bit…. a childhood memory as long as its good is a valuable and worthy thing to hold tight too…. if it is bad swallow hard and hope that it will stay down for the moment, till your Lump in your throat comes back and you must once again suppress what winds we rode on as a child…

I know how you feel, the PTC carousel here in melbourne is special to me, I 1st saw/rode it when I was 8yo here on holiday, it was my first sight of a grand caurousel & started my love affair with them as art

I am going to try to go to as many event that I can this year to photograph some. Soon we will be having a carousel museum opening up right down the street from me., I cant wait.
