I am sooo mad about Herons. I have been trying to get mine close so I can capture it. Alwats so far away. My daughter and I went down a dirt road today that has a very small swamp. only a few hunder feet wide in this section. She told me to stop the car becasue there was a heron. When i slammed the door… stupid me.. he flew up, then he came back and I could figure out what I wanted to do. He flew away agin. We will go back in a day or two.

Okay, be very very quiet … and quiet. Watch from a distance, they are kind of “shy” and need to get used to you. If you have a long lens, that helps. Good luck! I’m just lucky because I live on a river and one or more walk right by my living room window, so they’re used to people, cars, etc …

This is an oldy. I guess people only look at the front main page. Thats so funny this has been in the back of my pages for a mine. I guess it helps to move them around.. Wow!
