Alone I’ll be at death,
within every breath,
in everything I see,
I must accept to be.
Alone I am in feeling,
under the sun and in being,
within tears I’ve cried,
through laughter and lies.
Alone I dream,
everywhere I’ve been,
in darkness and in fear,
even when you are near.
Alone I carry a child,
through natures wild,
with sound and in dance,
in every advance.
Alone I am in the cold,
when I’ve grown old,
since being here on earth,
alone I’ve been from birth.
