I love to photograph musicians when they are playing or singing their hearts out and when they have become one with their music. That is my passion. But now, I am reaching into areas that I thought I wouldn’t be able to capture and I am truly excited about it!

I’ve always believed that the still image reveals so much of the world that we never normally see and that a frozen moment in time can be a complete revelation. There is a story behind each of the images. The images are capable of telling their own stories, although different people can read different stories in each one. My own story is one of change, new beginnings and new insights.

I’m an American, who has recently settled in England and married an English folk musician. Music provides a theme and inspiration for many of my images. The photograph can be an excellent medium for music if it can show – through the enduring stillness of the image -the exquisite moment of musical creation All photographs can do this – even photographs of nature portray the music of silence. I hope you find your music in my photos!

I sold a mounted print of “The Red Melodeon" !
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the person who bought it. / You put a smile on my face, an extra kick back in my step, and a fun memory of when I captured that shot!
