This place is on the Soque (so KWEE) River going 197 North from Clarkesville. It used to be known as Grandpa Watts Grist Mill, and this is the signage outside. This was operational about the turn of the century.
Taken with my Canon Rebel XTi.

How beautiful this is. I love the barrel, wheel and other parts of the Grist Mill. Your post work is just lovely.
There is an old wringer washing machine on the other side of that Art Zone sign, she should put flowers in it I think…..
love all this color and busyness of this image.. lots of shade & light all over.
Thanky ma’am – it was morning time, and I usually favor evening sun so I was surprised that the shadows were in cool spots.
Great image of a great place. I always stop here whenever I roll through this section of Georgia.
I met a very nice lady here and made a new friend on top of that. She wants me to do a pet portrait.
Fantastic shot. Interesting history.
Thank you – I just wished that it still had the wheel!!
Beautiful shot! So colorful!
Thank you Sandy, it’s a quaint little place – lots of pottery inside. I have some pics I haven’t even processed yet of the inside and back side close to the water….
