This piece of art has been haunting me for months, I just couldn’t get it. Version after versions tossed. The colors never working, the textures not flowing. It’s been 33 years since I tripped and I can still remember the color, but try translating that to a Black and White photo, OMG, forget it.

Then tonight it happened. I started from scratch. Layer after Layer, Texture, Bokeh, Motion, My Whole Arsenal! It clicked. It’s Perfect. Incredible!

Once upon a time we were not afraid of color. Back then the entire world flashed – solarized – from time to time, as if strobo-scoped through a blur of gels. And then… something washed those primaries away. Wonder when the switch went off? More interestingly… how wonderfully you’ve re-triggered the things here.

  • the 80’s killed the color. I was born in 1963, my parents were well off but very socially conscious. We had Hippy art in the house, my mom made famous hash brownies, we had a mobile suspended from the ceiling and had a Dayglo red front door. The 80’s were all about plastic modernism. Cocaine and money.
I really appreciate you comments. thank you!!!
