100,000 Gallery Views! Wow!!!

I don’t know about you, but I’m impressed! This community of ours here at Redbubble has completely changed my life. I am so grateful for it and the artists here who have taught me, through example, how to better my art. It’s all about being of service; Hosting groups, assisting new members, participating in challenges.
I am blessed to be a part of this!

Well this has just blown me away. I logged on today and discovered I have named Featured Artist for CORE!
My mom was the first person I told about it. I am quite humbled to have been featured here. Incredibly excited by it all!

It's All About The Inspiration and Support of Other Artists

Today Gossips – Murder By Character Assassination, was Featured twice! Amazing! I am honored beyond words. This morning I awoke and discovered that Altered By Design had featured this piece, and later when I got home from work, I was informed that CORE had Featured it as well.

The inspiration for this piece came from a very powerful piece done by restlessd, called: Man of Constant Sorrow.

In this piece, she describes it as her first attempt at The Dragan Effect. The what? I’m still trying to figure it out. In any case, everything I have used this “effect”( or rather 25 layers of all kinds of little adjustments) on, comes out intense and a little scary.

It is my great honor to be amongst the fine artists here on Redbubble!

I am not an Anarchist. But war and suffering of those around me, has brought me to the breaking point!

FEATURED: Altered by Design and Photo Manipulators

This week, a truly amazing thing happened. Two works of art, that were created simultaneously were both featured by groups I hold in the highest esteem.

I am not an Anarchist. But war and suffering of those around me, has brought me to the breaking point. My art could no longer just be about the beauty of the human form, or the intensity of a wave, or the glow of a city. My message had to be heard. My message had to be seen, and felt.

War is Hell

Please, dear God, Let there be peace now!

Spotlight of the Week: The Amazing Orton Effect!!!

The Amazing Orton Effect

Well, to say I am blown away is an understatement!

This piece was a labour of love and patience. It taught me more about what could be accomplished by combining layers of HDR and Orton Effect. It transformed my art.
To be honest, I had no idea how to work with the Orton Effect, until I joined this group. I had heard about it, but never tried it. I am humbled and honored by this spotlight.

Featured in Core [C.O.R.E]!!!

To be featured a second time in the dynamic group is amazing. A huge honor for me.

This is my first HDR image to receive a feature. I am largely shunned by the HDR community, because I don’t create them solely with a camera and Photomatix HDR. My process is that of creating usually 10-12 images from a singe source image. Each of these is vastly different. Often times, there will be a number of exposure adjustments – each with a varied amount of detail, then one simplified, another illustrated and one saturated and done as a painting. I then run an HDR program on them either in Photoshop or Photomatix HDR. In the above piece, I created two distinct HDR images, one color, another black and white. From there is was a simple matter (lol) of layer masking using custom brushes. For good effec
