A Propensity for Violence
For the record, I’m actually a Southpaw.
Rejected from the “Emotive” group, as it isn’t angry enough. Go figure.

i keep coming back to this picture. this is like the 4th time, honestly, and i dont know what was wrong with me before, but…damn man! this is fuckin sweet! so angry! reminds me of fight club almost. definitely as good looking as brad pitt (from this perspective anyway, haha ;) man, sorry it took me so long to favorite this and throw up my praise all over it. this is so awesome.

hmm i like :) the composition is very good and the violent feel behind the image is realy strong! i also like the blood effect on the fist!
may i ask was there any digital editing in this image? x
Ché Ballard in reply to Ollie Burton’s comment, 8 months ago
Thanks for the comment.
I did mess about in PS with the channel mixer and converted to monochrome. It was already grainy: I shot at ISO 600, but I added a little contrast & very small amount of extra grain. Also the blur on the hair was added, but the fist was naturally blurred (I swung it in slow motion just as the timer went off.

Yeah, you do look like Brad Pitt there. :) Great shot!
If that isn’t angry enough for the Emotive group, I don’t know what will be…
Ché Ballard in reply to Faizan Qureshi’s comment, 7 months ago
Thanks Bud. I guess the excess grain must be flattering ;)
I still don’t get the Emotive rejection, it was suggested that it might be better suited to the “sport” group…

LOL. They need to watch some sports and a violent drama and see the difference!

The emotive group obviously has its head up its arse.
This is glorious. If you could take a photo of a bad memory this is what it would look like. I love how sadness and madness comes from this image at the same time.

hey hey unleash the beast ;-) this is a great photo. Most great artists weren’t accepted into ‘groups’, that’s what sets you apart!
