Have always been a keen photographer but only ever had a point and shoot up until March 2010 when I purchased my first DSLR camera – Pentax k-x. Took an Adult Ed course and did lots of reading and lots of trail & error.

Then took the big leap in March this year and purchased a Nikon D7000 – what an awesome camera and can see a massive improvement in my pictures.

Still have so much to learn and so much to see and take pictures of so many things.

My favourite subjects are waterfalls, cascades, landscapes, sunrises & sunsets, snow and don’t mind a bit of macro. Just started to learn about HDR photography and love it.

I live in Burnie, Tasmania and some of my favourite places to visit are Cradle Mountain, The Tarkine, Western Tiers, Central Highlands, West Coast, Pieman River, any waterfall and basically anywhere in Tasmania :-)
