Artist's Description

The Tech – - – Canon G11 Compact Camera – Wide-Angle Lens 6mm – I shoot RAW – Orton – I use PhotoShop for layer-ation – I use Photomatix Pro to polish up me HDR ( 107 hours saved thus far) – and I use other stuff like reflectors, powerful light just over the horizon and military aircraft for spraying population control particles into the atmosphere (that’s how we get those lovely sunsets) ~:0)

The Rationale – - – This big black Buick is a 1949 model. It is perfection. It sports a straight eight mill. That is one long engine. And it runs as smooth as a young girls kiss. Woot! ~:0)

If I were choosing a ride to be a complete frame-off restoration it would be the fifties era Buick. The lines on this big black Buick are classic modern design at its best. Note the repetition of form and line. Revel in the details. Look at that paint job! That black is a foot deep! I found myself reaching for objects in the paint. It’s a real bewdy.

As I started out to say a moment ago but side-tracked meself – How shall I phrase this. – I would choose a nice restoration like this big black Buick as a daily driver. I would choose it over most modern cars. Provided it had updated disc-brakes and A/C I would prefer to drive a nice ‘49 Buick like this one. I would rather have something like it than a Corvette! It’s that Cool! ~:0)

Modern cars do not provide the interior room of this big black Buick. When I say the back seat is huge – I mean I’ve stayed in smaller hotel rooms than this ride. And ride it does. I don’t know if U’ve ever ridden in a big ole Buick like this. But I can tell U it is as close to riding on a cloud as U’ll get on this earth – Ha!

This big black Buick is from another age. It’s from a time of rejoicing. It was built after the end of WWII (that’s World War Two – BTW – the other day one of me students asked me which came first – World War I or World War II – no Really ~:0). Anyway it was a time of confidence. It was a time of development. It was a time of celebration. For most it was the best time of their lives. Imagine letting that vibe rub off on U every time U drove. U would feel some of that driving this 1949 Big Black Buick – for sure ~:0) VivaChas!
