Hot air ballooning at dawn, Gold Coast Qld.
From a distance the world looks blue and green,
and the snow-capped mountains white.
From a distance the ocean meets the stream,
and the eagle takes to flight.
From a distance, there is harmony,
and it echoes through the land.
It’s the voice of hope, it’s the voice of peace,
it’s the voice of every man.
From a distance we all have enough,
and no one is in need.

no hungry mouths to feed.
The song From a distance by Bette Midler played in my head as we gently floated above the beautiful Queensland countryside.
The world did indeed look blue and green.
I was also fascinated by the shadow dance of our balloon as it played upon the parched countryside.

Thank you so much. I actually took lots of photos of the shadow on the changing landscape but liked this one the best because the shape of the hill mirrored the balloon shadow and there was the added interest of the house and the dam.
