looking arcross the room l see you
as l start to look away l notice you
looking back at me
l turn back around and smile at you
you smile back at me and my breath catches
my heart beats wildly
strange feeling stir deep with in me

l take a deep breath and start to walk towards you
then l stop dead in my tracks as some one else
walks up to you wraps you in their arms and kisses
your cheek

a pain in my heart shocks me
what is this feeling and why does
seeing this other person with their
arms around you hurt me so
why are there tears in my eyes

l look for the nearest exit and go outside
why can’t l breath
why im l reactting like this
why does this hurt me physical
l don’t understand

lost in my throughts
l don’t hear you come up beside me
“His my brother” you say to me
as l turn to look at you
“Your brother” l repeat as it hits me
what you just said

“God im so glad to hear that”
l say grining like a fool
then l lean towards you and whisper
in your ear
“Do you believe in love at first sight?”
“l didn’t until about ten minutes ago”
you reply with a goofy looking grin on your face

l close the gap between us and as l lower my lips to
yours l say “Same here”
then l kiss you, the first kiss of many to come
