I love photography and art…

I am particularly inspired by beautiful flowers and the countryside around my home in rural East Yorkshire – particularly the vast and fantastic skies – awe inspiring…

…I like to treat all my photos as art, and indeed my photography was originally intended as the inspiration for my own artworks…

…as I discovered I could get the effects I was looking for in my art more quickly and with less effort by manipulating my photos, I turned more and more to photography as my main medium of creativity and expression….

I don’t have any fancy photographic equipment, and I don’t use photoshop (got nothing against it, I just can’t afford it!) but I do manipulate most of my photos through Microsoft Office Picture Manager, and occasionally through Picnik.com.

I like to play about with images, trying to look at them in a different way, and love taking close-ups (as close as I can manage) to get a really different view point.

I like my images bright, or in black and white or sepia – and mostly I’m aiming for something dramatic in some way…
