Lovely stuff – even as an Englander, I find the idea of chugging along remote US / Canadian railways incredibly appealing and romantic. Maybe I have watched Buster Keaton’s ‘Railrodder’ one too many times BUT I’d love a little rail speeder to putt-putt along on through the forest and valleys – it’d be my idea on heaven on Earth [and not so silly either – as there is a proper assoc. that does exactly that in the US / Canada].
Thanks… I love the railroad myself, its unfortunate that it does not have the respect it deserves here in Canada. Most of the rail lines have fallen in disrepair and forgotten.
classic B&w congrats on your hame page feature …I grew up in Amherst and I must admit I don’t think I was ever here …not that I remember anyways …great photo….Steve
Thanks Steve… this is actually Kinsac outside of Halifax near Beaverbank. The track goes alongside a the Lost Creek Golf Course.
