Black Tusk from Blackcomb Mountain by

This is a different view to my previous Black Tusk photos. It is taken from the top of 7th Heaven lift on Blackcomb, BC, Canada. In the lower left foreground you can see the Symphony Lift which opens up a huge skiing bowl, and is my favourite place for skiing at Whistler.

Wow! Brings back by skiing days and so many thrilling memories. Terrific shot !!!

  • Thanks Nancy. We had a big dump today and tomorrow could be a bit of sun, so more photos I hope.

Black Tusk makes photography easy ;)

  • I must have dozens of photos of that landmark! What is interesting though that in 2011 when temperatures were -20C and lower, all my photos were much sharper because of the extremely clear air. This year it was much warmer, around -5C with higher humidity and this degraded the distant shots. We will be back there for a summer visit on Aug 15/16. let’s hope weather is good.
