Pines at Sunrise
Pine trees – many dead or dying – silhouetted by the rising sun filtered through morning fog. Salt water from the Gulf of Mexico has seeped farther inland, killing many of the slash pines in this part of the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, on Florida’s eastern panhandle gulf coast.
