Hello, and welcome! I’m based in Tallahassee, Florida, USA, in the state’s panhandle / gulf coast area. It’s called the “Forgotten Coast” because it is still largely undeveloped.

Click the "View All Art " button on the right side of this page to browse my RedBubble gallery.

Exhibitions: I’m a member of South of Soho Art Gallery in Railroad Square Art Park. You can always see my work there. If you are in the area, don’t miss the monthly First Friday Gallery Hop. Virtually every gallery in Tallahassee has open house and meet-the-artists. Visit my web site, CharlieSawyer.Com, for links.

About my art: Every day, all around us, the world presents us with astonishing images of beauty, grace, magic, and surprise. I try to capture that by getting out with my camera early and often, in Florida’s wild watery areas and along our “Forgotten Coast”. Photography lets me share my sense of joyful wonder. I want my images to evoke what I was feeling when I took the picture. I love exploring the way air and water play with light. I’m intrigued by the interplay of form and reflection. Birds and boats make naturally interesting, dramatic, and often lovely subjects, but I keep my eyes open for anything.

More about me: I was a film photographer in the 70s – 80s, then video/film maker, broadcaster, teacher and training developer. Returned to stills because digital makes it possible and practical.
