Encouragement Card (for Leslie) by

Sometimes things hit you and it’s like Wham!
Will I ever be able to get over this?
Will I ever be able to trust again?
Is it even worth trying?
The answer is YES.

No man, no job, no circumstance can steal your self worth or your joy. You can give them up, but you don’t have to give it up. You have a Source, a Strength, a Calm in the Storm, a Safe Harbor,
a Lifeline, a Comfortor. His name is Jesus and He can get you through it all if you put your trust in Him. Your self-worth comes through Him for without Him we are nothing, but with Him we are a Child of the King, an Heir to the Throne, the receivers of Eternal Life and Forgiveness. So be of good courage my friend, for Christ has overcome the world. And even though you are tired and battle weary, even though you feel like the night is long and morning will never come- it will. Joy comes in the morning. There is a new day ahead and Christ will hold your hand, He will carry you, He will cry with you, laugh with you, dance with you…and He will bring you out of this valley up to the mountaintop where the view is beautiful and fresh. So don’t give up on life, just give it up to Jesus and He will give you the victory.

I am Charldia (Char). I am totally amateur at everything as you can tell, but I have fun trying art and photography of many kinds. These things help me push past my pain after 84 surgeries and keep going. Been married to Alan since 1975. 2 Super sons, 4 awesome grands. I love my church and I love my Jesus. All I do I do for His honor and glory.

Lovely sentiment, Char. It reminds me of a situation a couple of years ago when my friend’s son was undergoing treatment for lymphoma. He told his parents that either way it went was okay with him. If he lived, he’d be so happy to be with his family. If he didn’t, he would be so happy to be with his Jesus. Quite a comment from someone in his early 20’s, and I’m sure very comforting to his family when he did indeed pass on. Good luck to your friend.

  • Thank you so much Dot

I am applauding this. I am living proof of this, I have been to the valley, I have been around and around the mountain but I stood against the wiles of the lies of the enemy and was grounded in Christ and He has brought me out and right now placed me on a mountain top. Yes, never give up, give it to Christ because He is faithful and never forget to praise and pray…ALOT!!! I love this! My prayers will be with Leslie.

  • Thank you Vigor, you have been there for me so many times. You are such an encouraging, inspirational person. I am so thankful for your kindness and friendship.
