I was so blessed with wonderful, loving parents.
They were so special, so in love with each other, and had so much love for their fellowman.
My mother and father both had the true “green thumb” syndrome. They could grow anything. We always had beautiful yards, lovely inside plants, and a fantastic summer garden. Me, I am great at causing plants to die. I am totally hopeless in that area which is such a shame because I love plants, flowers, trees. I can’t even keep silk flowers because my cat eats them. Well anyway, both parents had many favorite flowers with roses being at the top. My Dad, was a minister. His favorite song was, ’Just A Rose Will Do". He made sure it was one of the songs to be done at his funeral. He had so many flowers, but in his honor we planted a rosebush by his headstone. So roses hold a special place in my heart, especially that one single rose. For I agree with my father, I love a bouquet of flowers, but believe me I am happy if I just get the one, because “Just One Rose Will Do.”
