I’m a creative soul, playful and often going off on tangents following flights of fancy. Hopefully this explains the eclectic array of artwork here.

I focus on the elements of nature as a great source of inspiration and well being. I admire nature, the shapes and patterns in nature, how they relate to geometry and also the rhythms of nature.

I honestly believe my contact with nature, positivity and imagination is extremely important to me for life in general and as a means to create artwork that will hopefully pass on those positive connections.

I prefer using some surrealist automatic techniques such as collage to produce abstract and expressive images. However I can be obsessive sometimes and continually reinvent particular themes.

My artwork explores my contact with the universe around me. Responding to influences in my life, music, media, my story, my surroundings, shapes found in nature,my imagination and the creative processes I use.

I think my take on nature owes greatly to Iiving in, playing, volunteering and working in Sherwood Forest. Spending most of my childhood outdoors making dolls out of flowers, collecting acorns and twigs and watching beetles journey across dead tree trunks.

Over the years I have absorbed a lot of knowledge about the forest and love it dearly. You will see that the forest creeps into my artwork a great deal directly and indirectly. I’m inspired by observing wild places and the shapes and patterns found on different scales in that magical environment.

I have had a run in with endometriosis related chronic pain for about 5 years until recently. I was pretty unable to operate very well at all and it was a very upsetting experience. However, starting in 2007, I tried really hard to overcome this disabling control in my life. Out of desperation, I tried everything possible including Reiki therapy. Still to my amazement my health and happiness have at last got back on track. Infact I feel happier and more creative and able to take things on than ever before! Even pain. This has been an extrordinary life changing time for me and have myself now become a Reiki practitioner. I believe healing can also be drawn from many sources now. For a start, surround your self in beauty, nature and positivity!
