Mable and Bob

Another flash?
Aah, what the heck, posting it anyways…

Mable and Bob belongs to the following groups:

Flash Fiction

Mabel and Bob sat next to their small campervan, drinking their tea and gazing over the ocean.

“What’s that thing over there under that rock?” Enquired Mabel.

“Where?”

“There!” Said Mabel pointing to something glistening near a rock pool.

“Ah yes, that’s what the fisherman use to capture tiny fish, so they can then in turn use them for bait to catch the big fish. It’s mechanical and when it senses movement, it causes it to flick out and back in again quickly, capturing loads of tiny fish as it does. It sparkles like that, because the fish think it’s an insect. Very clever and effective actually.”

“Ah.” Says Mabel as she had another sip of her tea.

Mabel loved her husband Bob of fifty odd years dearly, even though she knew….he was so full of shit.
