Sarah
Good or Bad…I’ve been inspired
Come and join in the flashfiction weekend challenge :)
Sarah belongs to the following groups:
Flash FictionSarah placed the needle on the record; the soft scratchy sound began to soothe her being.
She looked over at her husband and smiled.
As the music began, she grabbed his hand in hers and then placed it in the small of her back, for it was here she felt most secure in his love.
Always light of foot, and with the changing tempo, Sarah began to dance vivaciously around the room of their tiny flat. As she twirled, her long black hair followed fluidly.
It was in these moments, Sarah’s love for her husband intensified.
When the music finished, and the record player’s needle jutted on the vinyl plastic, Sarah eased from her melodic trance.
She took her husbands hand and ever so gently placed it back, next to his wrist, in the long wooden box.
She then slid the box safely back, beneath her bed.
