Little Sally Sanson

And now for something completely different…

A children’s verse, inspired and based on my eldest daughter when she was 3.

Little Sally Sanson belongs to the following groups:

Riginals and WMG

Little Sally Sanson
Found a plastic ruby bead
It was smaller than a marble
Yet, much bigger than a seed

She tried to roll it sideways
As she played upon the floor
But the bumpy plastic surface
Meant, it soon became a bore

She searched to find a hole
That would accomadate it’s shape
And much to her delight
She found one on her face

She stuck it up her nostril
Till it had disappeared
Then went about her business
And forgot she put it there.

Then

Little Sally Sanson
Caught a nasty cold
She sneezed into a tissue
Right in the middle fold

She ran to show her Mother
And exclaimed with happy glee
“It’s true in what you say!”
“There’s really gems inside of me!”

Gosh the memories come flooding back….
I stuck a fake diamond up my nose when I was 5, it was the first time my brother had been left to look after me while mum went to the shops. He was so scared she would think he was a bad baby sitter he tried to force it out by twisting my nose. Then he heard the car in the driveway and punched me in the nose to dislodge it causing copious amounts of blood and tears and well…. wasn’t allowed to baby sit for quite a while after that …. Hee hee

  • Chanel2 replied

Oh, your poor brother!! And you of cause!
My apologies for doing this, LOL!!
Thanks for your story Michelle :)

Hahaha very cool. My brother stuck a button up his nose when he was little, thought he was very smart….until he had a visit to the doctors to remove it. Then he didnt think he was so smart, but we thought he was as his visit with us in tow entertained us for an afternoon.

  • Chanel2 replied

Haha, it’s one of those things that you can look back on and laugh, even though at the time it’s quite a scary event.
    Thanks for that madworld.
