Once there were Dinosaurs.

Well, this is according to the guy driving the hovercraft, the many geologists and paleontologists that have studied this area in Broome, Western Australia.

What I can tell you is, I definitely felt privileged to view them for myself and probably can’t tell you what a surreal feeling it truly was to be in the presence of this amazing piece of history. Because of this, I wanted to share with you the few photos I got.

Our mode of transport, which was my first ride ever in a hovercraft….it was like flying over the water, very cool.

Here they are in a row…...

A bit closer :)

Up closer and what you see here is how the underlying rock is indented which apparantly gives proof to the theory. If you look at the other rocks layers (above pic), they are all straight.

The mysterious thing is, no dinosaur bones or any other proof have been found apart from these footprints and others, which are scattered about the area.
Because of this fact do we ponder their 130 million year(give or take a million according to the experts) theory.
Or do we wonder….just maybe, they were passing through…like me :))

Indeed Wendy, 130 million years seems a lot to even imagine.

Hey, they’re not too bad, Cathryn. They look pretty sharp to me. :o) But then we do tend to be our own worst critics, that drives us on, hey.

Thanx Anne, you is the nicest gal :)
I think they’re overexposed or something, hence why I don’t put them up in the photograph section. Shame, a dinosaur footprint could make a ‘smashing’ card :0

Ha, yes, me too. They(experts) seem pretty convinced that’s exactly what they are.

The dinosaurs were eaten by polar bears. It’s a fact!

Well, perhaps that is what these ones were running from.

Of course it was! Polar bears are very resourceful hunters.
