Taupo is such a gorgeous place…I love this shot ;)

  • Cathryn Swanson replied

    Thanks Helen.
Yes, Taupo is gorgeous. The title refers to an old ad that used to be on in NZ in about the early eighties?? It was a promotion about seeing your own country before you see others. In one part some one asks where a place is and he answers “I dunno, somewhere near Taupo isn’t it” It was the answer for most destination questions for many months after, it kinda stuck with me for longer.haha. Anyway, this was my first time seeing the place properly, and I probably should have put this in the description, instead of boring you with the details!haha.

Hahaha…please I enjoyed reading about it :) I haven’t lived in NZ for years…but when I do go back I try to visit places such as Taupo. My Mum lived there when she was a girl. It’s such a beautiful country :)
