I received my first camera as a gift when I was in high school. It wasn’t just any cheap camera, it was a Minolta AE-1 SLR plus various lenses. For a clueless teenager it was one of the best gifts I could have ever received. It let me focus on a growing facinasion for anything mechanical and technical.
I expanded into digital photography about five years ago with one of those point and shoot deals. Wasn’t long before I got bored with the automatic world and started to stretch every feature on that camera and also dust off the old SLR from time to time.
Recently moved over to a semi professional DSLR which combines the flexibility of the digital age with the finese of an SLR.
I’m not a professional photographer. Photography is one of many hobbies that I enjoy doing. I wish I could spend more time doing what I love.
I’ve got some areas that I want expand into, such as Astrophotography, real life moments, obscure nature, scenery, old structures, modern structures plus some others.
