Looking towards Southbank, from Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Brisbane.
I took this on an impromptu storm chase on Sunday 24th March in the afternoon. The weather radar had indicated some nasty weather heading for Queenslands’ capital. From all directions cloud encroached on everyones plans, people who had been enjoying leisurely BBQs or exercising outdoors, all got their plans cut drastically short by this storm.
It (thankfully) did not have any hail in it, but the wind and the torrential rain that it brought, was enough to have me cowering behind a cafe’s walls, gear wrapped in towels and soaked to the bone.
