The giants pulled off the upset and defeated the patriots. I expect that the giants will repeat for the following reasons.

First, they have their defensive standouts under contract for the next few years. The giants defense should remain one of the premier defenses in the league for years to come.

Second, they also have Eli Manning and the key receivers under contract for the next few years. The giants offense is excellent, and will continue to have an explosive passing game for the foreseeable future. There is a concern with the running game, and the running game does need to be shored up through the draft, or free agency, this offseason.

The running game is the one area that needs improvement, and this can be addressed with one acquisition this offseason. The defense should remain strong for the next few seasons. The secondary is good, and their ability to get pressure with only their front four lineman will allow them to continue to have an excellent passing defense.

For these reasons, look for the giants to win next year, and remain contenders for the title for several years to come. Any comments are welcome.
