Thanks to you all for your nice comments. This was fun to create. It took 3 photos (1 nice landscape but with no buffalo, a buffalo with an ugly background, and a common farm horse whom I don’t imagine expected himself to get painted up :) Then I used a 3D male model that I posed to set on the horse and hand painted everything on him with my mouse. Then I put it all together on layers on a paint program, using transparency etc.
