When number eight fell down,

Numbers six and seven did frown,

It made number five cry, and from his own tears nearly drown.

Number four did implore,
Number three to come see!

Number two said eight is surely threw,
And didn’t know what any other numbers could do!?

But number one quietly said number eight is not nearly done
We just need to come together added as a sum.

They soon all agreed that adding was good indeed,
And numbers three and four became seven with speed.

Number thirteen was quickly combined,
From numbers two six and five.

Numbers seven and thirteen joined another seven and one,
All the numbers wiggled and laughed and said this adding is really quite fun!

A grand twenty eight they became after all their forces combined,
There mission was now clear time to get number eight up off of his side!

Number twenty eight pulled and pushed hoping this situation they could fix,

Just then number eight came flying up and with a crash number twenty eight became number thirty six!
