We are excited to announce the International Fine Art Society – SD (IFAS-SD) is meeting up for the 2009 La Jolla Festival of The Arts

IFAS-SD will be getting together Sat, June 20th at 11:30am to enjoy the La Jolla Festival of the Arts This is one group gathering you will not want to miss!!!

What Is IFAS-SD All About?

IFAS-SD is a group for all those who enjoy the Fine Arts and would like to share their experiences with others. We encourage artists, painters, photographers, sculptors, graphic designers, gallery owners, etc. to join and actively participate. You don’t have to be art smart, you just have to be able to enjoy art, and meeting others with the same interests.
The Mission of the IFAS is to both encourage and support the creation of and appreciation of Fine Art with particular emphasis on painting, drawing, sculpture and photography.

All The Juicy Details…

The La Jolla Festival of the Arts ™ will be held June 20-21, 2009, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, on the UCSD east campus at the corner of Genesee Ave and Regents Rd. Admission price is $10 per person; active military personnel with ID are free. Parking is free. The venue is completely disabled-accessible. All animals except disabled-assist dogs are prohibited. They are also offering a $2 discount on admission when you sign up for their e-mail newsletter.

The La Jolla Festival of the Arts is among the top rated art shows in California. The Festival hosts over 190 award-winning local and national artists displaying watercolors, oils, sculpture, serigraphs, fine jewelry, photography, and more. You can also expect to enjoy a variety of cuisines in the festival food area, listen to live entertainment, and participate in special events.

This event is produced annually by the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation, proceeds from the Festival support recreational and educational programs for San Diegans with disabilities. More recently, funds from this Festival are providing recreational and rehabilitative services to injured veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Where Is The Festival?

The Festival is located in the La Jolla/UCSD district of San Diego at the corner of Genesee Ave and Regents Rd. It is easily accessible from I-5, I-805, I-15 and CA-52 and offers plenty of free parking.

Genessee Ave at Regents Rd. – La Jolla, CA 92037

From I-5, north or south bound, exit Genesee Ave and turn east (away from the coast). The Festival is approximately one mile ahead. From I-805 north or southbound, exit and follow La Jolla Village Dr. Turn right on Genesee. The Festival is approximately one mile ahead. From I-15, follow 52 west bound and exit Genesee Ave and turn right. The Festival is approximately two miles ahead. From CA-52 east or west bound, exit Genesee Ave and turn north. The Festival is approximately two miles ahead.
