To describe my painting I have chosen an excerpt from the written work, Venus and Adonis by William Shakespeare
...”Never did passenger in summer’s heat
More thirst for drink than she for this good turn.
Her help she sees, but help she cannot get;
She bathes in water, yet her fire must burn:
‘O! pity,’ ‘gan she cry, ‘flint-hearted boy:
‘Tis but a kiss I beg; why art thou coy?...”
A hearty thanks to my friend Rebecca Cruz who let me paint her lovely photo titled Koi
Her gallery is wonderful and full of bold, colorful and beautiful work! Please take a look!

Mui-Ling Teh
Very nice; like the attention to detail of the surface to the head out of the water in contrast with the body seen under the water. It’s not only coming out ot the water, but out of the canvas as well!
Carrie Glenn replied
Hi Mui-Ling! So nice to hear from you! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. xoxoxo ~ Carrie
paul romanowski
BEAUTIFUL…
Carrie Glenn replied
Thanks Paul!! ;D
Colin Cartwright
Excellent acrylic work. The detail and sharpness is where you need them. And the impression of submerged reflection and movement.
Carrie Glenn replied

J-C Saint-Pô

Alice Oates
Brilliant piece! I was wondering how you photographed it so well…I have a painting with a black background and I just got a lot of glare in the picture.
Carrie Glenn replied
Thanks Alice! Lighting, lighting lighting. ;) Use as many lights as possible and also experiment with shooting it outside in natural light. If you have a gloss coat and you’re getting glare, try photographing it at a slight angle (stand just off center, to the right or left, of your painting and shoot) and then crop the edges enough so that it is square with a photo editing program. That should do it! ;D
Bubble mail me if you have any Q’s I’d be happy to help.
