Now that you bring up my cranes I also notice the play of scale here; you made those bars look really big! I don’t think they’re actually that big in reality; looking back at the original photo the plants and grass are bigger there than your plants and flowers (or maybe the plants got bigger after losing their flowers ?!). Yup you’ve really recreated the image.

OH WOW!!!!!!!! Carrie, you have done an AMAZING job with my photo!!! I don’t know how you’ve done it, but you’ve created something so magical out of a simple photo of a twisted metal fence!! Incredible!! And look at all the comments too!! Sorry I wasn’t first to comment, but I was away in Belfast for work. I am always stunned by the quality of your work, but to think that this has actually come from one of my photos, and to think about all the thought, imagination and hard work that has gone into it is breathtaking!! This is one amazing image! It says so much, in so many ways. Those kids are definately eating their wheaties!! LOL The colors are so nice, and the depth of the image in the background is superb. The careful attention to detail is enough to make even the finest, and seasoned artists gape in admiration. In some ways, it reminds my of a Thomas Kinkade painting, but better.
The angel inviting them with open arms is also a great focal point of the image.
I think this is truly a masterpiece in every sense of the mord. I’m sure you’ll sell lots of prints of this because it is so touching. I think we are all trying to get to the other side of the fence, and this image is what inspires us to push harder on the fences that keep us from finding peace on the other side. This work is inspiring, ellegant, and charming. Congratulations on the award!!

I forgot to mention those unicorns! They’re a very nice compliment to the image as well.
