First of all, Chris, thank you for sharing this information with us. I agree with you that Marianne is a fine lady; she’s sent helpful tips my way and has always been gracious and humble, given her impressive talent. I join you in praying for her complete recovery. I believe firmly in united prayer so I propose that everyone who reads this gives at least five minutes of their time before bedtime tonight to send prayerful thoughts and united hearts Marianne’s way. We don’t have to be in the same room to accomplish this; all we need is to meet in the chambers of our hearts on her behalf. May the good Lord touch her now and raise her up to health. Thank you, Chris, for sending out this plea.

I am so shocked to hear this. I can’t possibly tell everyone here how much help Marianne has given me over the past year or how talented she is or about her wonderful sense of humor….she really is someone you need to know yourself. She is a true friend! My prayers are with her.

Oh God Chris, absolutely I am praying as I type and hope she is out of trouble and back on her feet soon! She has always been there for me in the few short months we have known each other, and her praise and guidance have really been a blessing for me on so many levels! She has kept me out of trouble more than once in my internet ramblings, I feel just ill for her and you right now. To the angel who started helping me in Nov. 04, Marianne is that angel here on earth, and oh how much she has helped me though the years… I can’t begin to thank her, never in a million years could I thank her enough. We have been though alot together as well, she and I both know what and when. I had the best gift given to me just a few shorts months ago, when I got to meet this wonderful angel, and throw my arms around her and tell her just how much she means to me. We sat and talked by a stream the others just had to wait while we finished talking and finally we walked back, but really we didn’t want to leave that special place. All I want is for the Good Lord above to heal her. Give her the strength she needs to make it through this time in her life. And give us many more trips together.

right now she is in her own room, she will be in the hospital for at least another week (ugh), they did have to take part of her colon out..which really sucks, but she is a fighter as much as an angel..she can handle it
just thought those keeping up w/ this would like to know
i know im partially relieved (i will be more so once i know she is home and doing better)

Chris, Thank you so much for this update! It’s nice to know that she has been taken from surgery to recovery to a room. Just that much is good news-that she is no longer waiting for tests and has been cleared from the emergency list so to speak. I know she must be exhausted and in pain so I will not ask for updates again and will wait until you hear something.
And you are right. Our angel is also a fighter! She has been through so much already and regardless of all her health problems, she has always taken the time to help others. Bit of a pisser, that girl!!! ;) She never whines, never even tells you she is having health problems. She is the type that if she had access to a computer right now, she would be giving me PS help from her hospital bed!!!! For anyone who has not had contact or conversation with Marianne, she has battled health issues for some time now and never lets it stop her. She is truly a courageous woman!

i talked w/ her a few tonight on phone, she is sounding So Much better tonight. She will be in hospital for a few more days tho. The bleeding has stopped, so it must have been her colon and not the ulcers ..so glad they found that

Marianne – She is an angel, a fighter and with both those together she is going to come out of this and be back on her feet in no time at all, I’m just glad it’s winter, she can stay in stay warm, and when Spring comes she’ll be ready for hitting the road with her camera…. as for helping folk, she’s helped plenty, but she wants no praise, even tho we give it, she is one of a kind, and I’m so Proud to call Her Friend!

i talked w/ marianne today
she is getting frustrated, poor thing, they havent let her get up and
walk around yet
and they arent really letting her eat
she has quite a Few docs coming in, of course like their buttox hole,
each one has a different opinion, so she hears this, then another
comes in..and tells her that
i can understand why they arent letting her eat much, that colon and
muscles are all ticked off, they cant risk it tearing
i feel so bad for her, i could tell she is wanting OUT of there, and
is OVER it
she thinks she might be in there for another 4-5days :( of course
none of the reg docs work on the weekend, and she is stuck w/ the poor
guy who works ALL the patients on the weekend..so guess who has a
tude? the doc! lol
i told her..next time he comes in w/ that tude..just simply tell
him…she will take that IV line and wrap it around his damn neck if
he doesnt ditch the tude and communicate w/ her ..hehe
they will pass it off on the drugs they been giving her…. :D lol

as much as she likes to do what she wants, im SURE this is starting to
get pretty rough for her, however, it is a good sign she is getting
back to norm , if there is such a word…lol

Thanks for the update Chris. I am sure she is frustrated with being in the hospital but I am sure it is for her own good. Hopefully, on Monday, she will hear from her own Dr. and they will know more and be able to give her a time when she can go home. And I am sure you are right. If she is getting feisty, it’s a good sign!

from what her best friend sally said, she’s very glad to be home, but wont be on the computer for awhile. Im sure she has still a ways to go before complete recovery!

not since she has gotten home, she emailed me once and that was it, i figure she isnt able to spend as much time on the computer, not until she heals better, i sure hope all is A ok

It does figure that she won’t be on the computer or doing much of anything else at this point. I just didn’t know if her friend had called you or anything. I am still praying for her until she herself can tell me to stop! LOL

well guys, a bit of bad news..sigh
marianne is back in hospital, she went to doc yesterday, complaining about pain in her leg. they did a test on it, and found a bloodclot, they are going in to get it fixed, and then do a procedure to help prevent anymore from happening
i guess it holds true, when you feel something isnt right about someone, you should contact to find out whats up, ive had this feeling for a couple of days now, and yesterday was the strongest, and then i wake up to an email this morning, telling me the news
so looks like our “job” isnt over with yet
once again, for all of those who have read this, and put marianne in your prayers, thanks so much, i just wont ever understand why there are so many bad people in this world, why the Good Ones have to suffer so much

Didn’t notice this, not been on here much with my bronquities.I just talked to Marianne.They haven’t delt with the clot yet but she did seem in good spirits she still needs our prayers.This is a rough time of year to be having problems keeping you away from home.

talked with marianne tonight, was another close call, had they not caught this clot, it would have ended up going into her heart. along w/ dealing w/ that, some of the stitches in her stomach had busted. so tomorrow isnt going to be too good of a day for her , i hate to say
i told her id be calling her tomorrow night, to check on her
i hope to God, everything works out A ok tomorrow

after talking with marianne last night, she is going to be in the hospital for about two weeks :( they are needing to keep a close eye on her, if she’s ever needed any prayers its now. along with fighting for her life, she is stuck in a place that isnt home for the holidays. her doc said she might be able to go home for about four hours for christmas, then must be back in the hospital, they still havent done the filter yet to prevent the clot from moving to her heart. that should be done this morning
so everyone..please pass on the strength to her to make it thru this, especially with the holiday season now at hand…thanks

OMG thought she was getting better well she has all my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery and hope for a healthy new year.

Chris, just caught up with everything going on with Marianne. Prayers are with her this minute. Although it is tough being in the hospital, with a blood clot it is smart!

I just talked to Marianne on the phone. She said to thank all of you for the prayers! She is so grateful for them and for all the well wishes. This is truly a courageous and wonderful lady!

yes she is, and its a shame more dont really know her on this site, hopefully when she can get back to her “norm”, she will spend more time here and realize the type of people that are here, and thanks gary for posting that, i didnt know for sure if should do or not…lol

Just to give people who don’t know Marianne an idea of what she is like-when I first met her, she jumped right in by emailing me with PS advice. Not only that, but when I had an event I was asked to do and didn’t have a lens that I needed, she actually offered to priority mail it to me to use for the job!!!!!! How many people would mail you a lens or even loan it that long distance? Or loan it out at all? She is a very experienced photog with no ego! She never riducules or makes you feed stupid when you ask a newbie question. And she has spent hours with me privately, to help me with technical issues. I am not one to gush about people-but this is one person I am gushy over! Incredible lady!

Somehow I feel like a fool, completely out of the loop. I was just informed by Chris about Marianne condition, and to say the list I was shocked. I never met her personally but our acquaintance is going back from other sites. All the things that have been written on her are true, And I only wish for her speedy recovery. I’m not a religious guy and I do not believe in God, but I do believe in the human spirit and strength, and she has plenty of that. All my best wishes for her and her loved ones. Phone calls, letters and support from friends and family are the things that makes the person the alive and well. So open up your hearts, call her, send letters and e-mails and let her know that there is a whole world that is standing beside her.

I’m sorry to hear she is back in the hospital…. My thoughts are with her and her family.

she sounded great tonight compared to the last few nights..that is a Huge Relief!!

she does have her family with her tonight, which is a very good thing :)

i talked w/ marianne tonight, she said they are letting her go home tomorrow (friday) its been a LONG two weeks!! hell a LONG month!! the blood clot is still there, and so far her ulcers arent bleeding due to being put back on the blood thinner (lets just hope it stays that way) she has a long way to go for complete recovery, without a doubt this was a setback. come to find out, she’s had the clot in leg for awhile..and the damn doc’s knew about it!! GRRRR
one even knew about the blockage a few years ago!! i hate doctors!!!! lol they think they own and can control a patient, and the saddest part..is the patient allows them to!
anyhow..lets hope..she doesnt have to return to that place for a very very veryyyyy long time

lost 2 more pints of blood, so they had to replace it
going to be rough acting happy tonight at midnight
sherri hamilton’s mother passed away this morning , she had been ill for awhile
so she is in a much better place

yes…she passed away on the 31st, they buried her yesterday, sherri said it went beautifullly, she is holding up well. her mother had been sick for quite sometime now, so her mother is in a much better place now
