battling the blaze
this is another shot of the fire my FD fought last wednesday night, this building had been built back in 1940, it was a historical place known as Kinzel restaurant, the place had been sold a few years back and a river tubing company took over, that has been close for 2yrs now
this is an angle where a couple of guys were trying to calm those flames down, within 3-5 minutes after arriving to the scene, the whole building was engulfed in flames
when i wasnt holding the hose to fight this blaze, i was holding my camera :)
no one was hurt, but now the building is officially..history

Wow, so sad the building was lost, I’m so glad no people were hurt or lost. Makes for a lovely scene. Fire is so beautiful and intriguing, yet can be so deadly. Awesome capture. I love that we can see the busted out windows and the fire light in the windows.

thanks so much everyone, and yes..i was pretty close, i had my semi short lens on camera, didnt want to use the 75-300mm lens because then i would have had to be across the road in order to get anything good..lol it was definitely a rush, and the firedept needs to create a helmet for photographer/firefighters! lol that was another challenge, to keep the helmet on..or off, it ended up off for awhile! lol
micmac
Wow !We can see all the definition of the interior burning ,superb shot.
