us in sepia
this is what was left of our photog get together here in the smokys, gary had to leave us :( everyone fussed at me for shooting this in sepia instead of shooting in color saying i could convert it ..when they ALL know..i dont convert!! lol there’s something about shooting in sepia or black and white which adjusts all the contrast and tones, versus converting which I think (my opinion only) takes away some of the contrast and tones

Well I applaude you for not coverting. There is just something to say about just capturing a photo w/o altering it when you get home.

Very nice image! I totally agree about shooting in b/w and sepia. I’d rather shoot it in sepia or b/w rather than convert it. You lose a lot of the detail in the contrast and highlights after converting. So what I do, is this, when I see a great barn or what ever that I think would look great in sepia, I shoot it in color, them switch my camera mode to sepia or b/w and shoot it again.
