you kind of have to look for this bloom. the greenery on it is huge leaves that only grows about a foot from the ground. unless you look under those leaves you wont see the bloom. dont have any lighting problems w/ shooting this flower :)
i shot this macro, laying under many of these flowers, using a nikon diopter lens attached to a canon 73-300mm lens

    its like a magnifying glass, also called a close up lens :) alot cheaper to use then buying a macro lens ;)

    I see.. Isn’t you 70-300 have the mac on it..mine does. Its a Tamron Tele 70/300 with a Mac 1:2

    yep yep it does..i can shoot a macro w/ that lens, but i like how this really brings things out, a lot better then just using that lens by itself

    Is this some sort of helleborous, Chris? They always point towards the ground and are a pain to shoot! The soft light is rather lovely and very natural!

    dunno about helleborous, but can be hell to shoot? lol and thats why i had to lay on the ground for this one!! all the blooms were Under the leaves, i had everyone passing me their cameras! lol was great tho :)

    Beautiful shot Chris – sure looks like a hellebore (known as winter rose) – huge leaves, downward pointing flowers which come up in the middle of the clump of the older leaves???
