Beautiful bride!
I will tell you a couple of the things I was asked from my photographer that I appreciated. I was asked if I wanted the majority posed or candid. He also asked me to give him an idea of the types of shots I wanted and if there was anything special to let him know, to go through magazines or whatever and give him cut outs or ideas to go by. For example, I looked through nautical wedding shots and saw a couple with their hands joined on the ships wheel and that is definitely something I want so I passed that along. If I were you I would also visit the wedding/reception site before the wedding with the bride and groom if possible to share ideas.
I hope I was a bit of a help Chris. You probably already know this stuff but just in case I thought I’d pass it along. I think it’s great that you’re doing this! I would love to but haven’t gathered the courage yet to step out and try it.

lovely capture, a few tips to help, a lot of my girls insisted on this with their pictures, They love a hand shot with rings showing, also a close up of the flowers, and if wearing a viel a side one facial shot through the veil, hope this helps you more these are so great dawn

thanks darlene, yea i did that to her also, had her give me ideas of what she wanted, and i looked around on sites also to get an idea, of course each wedding has to go with what the situtation is at hand, i always appreciate input..so thanks :)

oh i nearly forgot, most bride spend an awful amount on their gowns and the detail at the back is as important as the front, If you stand them straight and get them to stay that way and then go behind them, and get them to turn slightly looking back at you, well this give a great shot of the back of the dress, remember though if they have a train smooth it out first before you get them to turn and as they twist so will the train slightly and it gives a great effect.
