Die Little Heart

I can feel it like splinters digging into my chest
Die little heart
Die
Die
Die

There it is again
Pain
There it is again
Sorrow

I see him now
Looking toward me
He sees me weak
Fragile
Naïve

There it is again
Pain
There it is again
Sorrow

I see him now
Looking upon my broken smile
He bashes it
Paints it black
Turns it into a frown

There it is again
Pain
There it is again
Sorrow

I see him now
Looking at my running feet
He catches them
Chains them to the ground
Laughs wickedly as I frown

There it is again
Pain
There it is again
Sorrow

I see him now
Looking at my tears
Watching as they fall
Fall to the ground
He pulls on them
Begs them to come down
Drip
Drip
Drop

There it is again
Pain
There it is again
Sorrow

I see him now
Looking down upon my grave
He smashes my heart
Watches it bleed
Smothers it in gray sheets
He doesn’t know what he does
Doesn’t know how it hurts

There it is again
Pain
There it is again
Sorrow

Die
Die
Die little heart
