A Classic. The laguna verde in Bolivia. The volcano is the Licancabur (5916 m). Behind the volcano is Chile, a different world from Bolivia. The green color of the water comes of the high concentration of magnesium.
This region of the world is very arid and the sky is of a very intense blue.
This is a high resolution panorama built by combining multiple images.
Thank you Sylvia. BTW, the laguna is not always green. Strong wing may mix the surface and deeper waters and change the color. Oh and nobody nows how deep it is.
