“I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers.” ~ Claude Monet
I just purchased Leslie Nicole’s latest “Tableaux” texture collection and have been eager to play with it. This is the result of my first experiments, with the base image an emerging waterlily captured in the Chinese Garden at The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California. Inspired by my love of Monet and the Impressionists, I wanted to create an interpretation rather than present literal reality. (Olympus E-5 & Zuiko 70-300mm zoom at 215mm [430mm in full-frame 35mm equivalent], f/6.3, 1/320 sec., ISO 250, overcast, handheld) Textures (Serendipity, SweetLight and WindSong) are from Leslie Nicole’s new Tableaux collection at French Kiss Textures.
