I came across a few patches of small daisies and thought it would be fun to portray them with extreme selective focus. This is my idea of what these flowers look like when they are daydreaming! (Olympus E-5 & Zuiko 50mm macro, f/3.2, 1/2000 sec., ISO 200, overcast, handheld)

Yes, you do anthropomorphise – but I see what you mean, I think.

  • Yes, I do have my little stories for some images. Sometimes the stories occur to me while I’m shooting, and other times it’s during image selection and processing.

Oh that is just so beautiful, Celeste…the bokeh is very lovely and the entire image is one of soothing and peaceful delight…gorgeous color, also.

  • Thanks very much, Katherine! I find daisies in soft focus to be very appealing, so I shot this at a wide aperture.
