It was from other photographers that I first learned of Nigella damascena (love-in-a-mist), and I’m always delighted when I find it growing somewhere. This especially deep blue flower (light blue and white are more common) was growing among cactuses, which accounts for my using a long zoom lens and not a macro one. :) (Olympus E-5 & Zuiko 70-300mm zoom at 252mm [504mm equivalent in full-frame 35mm], f/5.6, 1/800 sec., ISO 200, morning sun, handheld)
