A graceful dahlia petal dance, viewed so close that it’s all about the curves and the color. This dahlia variety is appropriately named “Lemon Meringue,” and it seemed only right to interpret its curves gently and softly. (Olympus E-5 & Zuiko 50mm macro with EX-25 extension, f/11, 1/100 sec., ISO 320, open shade, handheld)

    Gorgeous flow and colours.
(It does look like its name).

  • Thank you very much, Joy! When I saw the flower, I immediately thought of lemon meringue and was amused to see that very name on its ID tag. :)

Until I read the words I thought this WAS lemon meringue, and wondered why Celeste was taking up this kind of photography!

  • Haha, I think food photography is too much of a departure for me. Thanks for your fun comment!

… ha ha.. I agree with what Bette wrote as I thought the same thing…Yummy, Celeste is branching out to …uh…pie! ..ha ha…perfect name for this visual delight, Celeste…wonderful yellow color and the duplicate curves of that petal are sensual and lovely!
