These are wild birds, not caged or enclosed. My sister is so fortunate to have these amusing and colorful birds showing up daily, and I’ve taken many photos when visiting her. (She lives near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and has feeders out for the birds. The lorikeets will make a racket if the feeders are not full first thing in the morning!) This is my favorite of all the lorikeet photos I’ve taken because it shows how wonderfully playful and acrobatic these birds are, and I just love the way the bird at the top is looking quizzically at his two crazy playmates below.
