Spring pink by

Yesterday (5 February 2012) at my local botanical garden, the branches of the purple-leaved plum trees were mostly bare of leaves but graced with lots of buds and quite a few delicate pink flowers. (Olympus E-5 & Zuiko 70-300mm zoom at 226mm, f/6.3, 1/1000 sec., ISO 200, morning sun, handheld) Texture from Leslie Nicole’s French Kiss Textures

I’ve had internet problems again so I’m a bit behind . . .also it wasn’t helped by the fact that we had a tremendous storm which knocked out our power for 20 hours . . .but no harm done . . I’m so happy to be back. . .:-)
These blossoms are just plain superb Celeste . . the detail and delicay are wonderful and that gorgeous bokeh . . .and I love your use of the texture . . .xx

  • Thank you, Teresa, and I’m glad your internet problems are sorted out! I love all the tree flowers of spring, as they have such delicate beauty. I really like this texture (Dove Wings) for subtle backgrounds.
