Dewy borage by Celeste Mookherjee
Clear

A lovely blue borage flower decorated with lots of tiny droplets. The flower and foliage are edible — lovely as garnish for a salad and tasting a little like cucumber. Here they are pure eye candy, with daisy fleabane creating the bokeh background. (Zuiko 50mm macro, f/6.3, 1/125 sec., ISO 200, partly cloudy, handheld)

This looks as though it’s frozen with little icicles all over it . . . :-) You’ve captures the droplets in such wonderful detail Celeste and against the lovely blue of the borage it is a magical piece.

  • Thank you, Teresa! These flowers are fun after the rain or with morning dew because the little hairs hold onto water so well.

Amazing flower. Beautiful colour and looks great with the water droplets. Stands out well against the beautiful dof.

  • Thanks very much, Joy! Borage flowers are (I believe) prettiest from the back and with water droplets. These are very popular with the bees, btw.

This looks like a star fish attached to blue origami petals, Celeste… Fuzzy details hold the dewy drops tightly to its arms…

  • You’re right! It does look like a starfish (another of my favorite things).
