The dahlia garden at my local botanical garden is a rich source of photographic subjects. This is a close view of the first dinner plate dahlia to bloom in the garden, and I loved the wavy curls of its vivid petal tips. (Olympus E-510 & Zuiko 50mm macro, f/6.3, 1/125 sec., ISO 200, overcast, handheld — composed in camera, no crop)
