I love agapanthus, especially in the bud stage. While exploring photographic possibilities in a large patch of flowers, I spotted a recently opened bud cluster with two buds touching in a way that looked so much like a kiss that I was utterly fascinated.
The image title comes from the classic love song, “As Time Goes By,” featured in the movie Casablanca.
I spent a good bit of time trying lots of angles on the “young lovers” and finally settled on this as the basis of a textured image prepared especially for a group challenge.
