South Coast Botanic Garden (California) has many scattered plantings of bougainvillea, but my favorite is the clump along the perimeter road bearing red and orange bracts that burst into glory when backlit. Here you can see the intensity of the backlit red bracts with a trio of silhouetted flower buds. (Olympus E-510 & Zuiko 50mm macro, f/6.3, 1/160 sec., ISO 100, morning sun, handheld)
